What happens if I share the reason why I suspended someone in a group on Messenger?

If you’re an admin or moderator who’s suspending someone in your group on Messenger, you can share the reason why with the suspended person. Keep in mind that suspending someone in your group chat will also suspend them in your Facebook group.
After you share your reason with the suspended person:
They’ll get a notification
The notification won’t reveal the identity of the admin who suspended them.
They’ll be able to learn more
The suspended person will be able to click or tap the notification to see more details, like:
- How long they’ve been suspended for
- Which group rules they violated
- Your notes
