Remove yourself from a group conversation

Desktop (messenger.com):
  1. Below Chats, hover over the group conversation.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Click Leave group.
  4. Click Leave group to confirm.
The other people in the conversation will be notified that you left and you will no longer receive messages from the conversation.
Keep in mind that you can only leave from group conversations. You can't leave a one-on-one conversation.
You can also mute the conversation instead of leaving it.
