Turn sound on or off on messenger.com on a computer

To turn on and off chat and call notification sounds when you're using messenger.com on a computer:
  1. Next to Chats, click your profile picture.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Click next to Notification sounds to turn sounds on or off.
