How automatic translations works with business chats on Messenger
This feature is only available for some languages.
What does this feature do?
If you and a business you’re chatting with speak different languages, the business may turn on a feature that automatically translates the messages in the conversation.
For example, if you speak English and the business speaks Spanish, they’ll be able to see a translation of your message in Spanish. Their Spanish messages will also be translated to English and sent to you.
How do I know if automatic translations are on?
You’ll see a message in your chat that says [Business name] has turned on automatic translations if the business turns the feature on.
We’ll also let you know in the chat if the business turns off the translations feature.
When you see that the business has turned on translations for your chat, all you have to do is keep typing in the language you were already typing in.
