Remove someone from a group chat on Messenger

You can only remove someone from a group conversation if you're admin of the group. Learn more about group conversation admins.

Remove someone from a group

Desktop App:
  1. Open the group conversation.
  2. Click in the top right.
  3. Click [number] chat members.
  4. Click next to the person you'd like to remove.
  5. Click Remove Member, then click Remove From Chat.
Desktop (messenger.com):
  1. Open the group conversation.
  2. Click in the top right.
  3. Click Chat members.
  4. Click next to the person you would like to remove.
  5. Click Remove Member.
