Community chats
Community chats are chats created specifically for Facebook groups. Note that they are not available to all groups (example: commerce groups) or people at this time.
A community chat is a chat created specifically for your Facebook group, designed for real-time and more public conversations with other group members. For example, you can use community chats to coordinate an in-person event, discuss a topic that’s relevant to just some members, or socialize.
Community chats are managed by the group admins, moderators and chat hosts. As an extension of your Facebook group, community chats are not subject to the same privacy guidelines as other chats on Messenger.
If you and your group have access to community chats, you can find them in the left menu of the Messenger app and messenger.com, or directly in your Facebook group.
