Commands are not available on all platforms or for all people at this time.
You can use certain commands to control notifications, use AI features and more on Messenger. Enter / or @ in a chat to make the command menu to appear, then tap on a command, or enter any of the following commands:
@name + [your message] | Tap on the name of the person you want to mention when it appears in the menu. Your message will notify the person you mention. Mentions only work in chats with multiple people. |
@everyone + [your message] | Tap everyone when it appears in the menu to use this command. Your message will notify everyone in the chat, even people who have muted the chat. @everyone only works in chats with multiple people. |
/silent + [your message] | Tap silent when it appears in the menu to use this command. Your message will not notify anyone in the chat. |
@Meta AI + [your message] | Tap Meta AI to mention the Meta AI assistant in an existing chat with other people. Example: Ask the AI to answer a question or tell a joke. Learn more about how to use Meta AI. |
/imagine + [your prompt] | Tap /imagine when it appears in the menu to use this command. Next to @Meta AI /imagine, enter a description of an image you want to generate. Meta AI will generate an image in response in the chat. Learn more about how to use Meta AI. |
/ai-options | You can use commands to ask an AI to perform certain tasks, such as deleting information about you from your previous conversations. Send /ai-options in a chat with an AI to see a full list of available commands. |
