How Facebook protects your payment info in Messenger
Payments in Messenger are only available on your mobile device in the US at this time. Starting December 16th 2024, you can no longer send or receive money in Messenger if you or the receiver are located in the state of Wisconsin.

When you send or receive money in Messenger, only the dollar amount, your name, and profile photo are shared between you and your friend. We don't share any information we may ask you for when verifying your identity.
