Ignore group chats on Messenger

If you choose to ignore a group chat, the chat will be moved to the Archive folder and you won’t receive notifications for new messages from the chat. You can move group chats from the Archive folder back to your main chat list at any time.

Ignore group chats

  1. From Chats, tap and hold on the group chat you’d like to ignore.
  2. Tap Ignore.

Move ignored group chats back to your chats list

  1. Tap .
  2. Tap Archive.
  3. Tap and hold the group chat you’d like to move.
  4. Tap Unarchive.
