See message requests on Messenger

If someone who you're not connected with on Facebook sends you a message, you'll receive a message request. Replying to a message request connects you with the person who sent the request and lets you see any media they sent you.
See your message or connection requests
Desktop (messenger.com)- Open messenger.com in your browser.
- Click Requests on the left.
- Open Messenger for Windows or macOS.
- Click Requests on the left.
From Requests, you can:
- Reply to open the conversation and connect with the person.
- Click Delete to remove the request.
- Click Block to block the person.
- For a group message request, you can select Delete or Leave Group.
Delete message requests
Desktop (messenger.com)- From Requests, hover over the message request you want to delete, then click
.
- Click Delete chat, then click Delete chat to confirm.
- From Requests, right-click on the message request you want to delete.
- Click Delete chat, then click Delete chat to confirm.
