A community chat is a chat created specifically for your Facebook group, designed for real-time and more public conversations with other group members. For example, you can use community chats to coordinate an in-person event, discuss a topic that’s relevant to just some members, or socialize.
Community chats are controlled by the group admins and moderators. As an extension of your Facebook group, community chats are not subject to the same privacy guidelines as other chats on Messenger.
